What is this site?

CFF(NZ) is a place where you can meet single Christians.  You can add your details and then browse the profiles of other Christian Singles.  If you find someone interesting you can send them a message (anonymous).

I tried to register for the site and saw a message that an email with an activation link was being sent.  I didn't receive it.  Why?

If you didn't receive an email, then the email might have been filtered into the spam folder.

False positives regarding spam filtering are emails detected as spam, but are in fact legitimate emails. These false positive emails are moved to the spam folder in an email box and can be viewed with webmail.

Log into your webmail.  When you have detected a false positive in the spam folder in webmail, select the email and click on Move at the top. Then select Inbox. The false positive will be moved to the Inbox. The next time you check your email the false positive will be downloaded.

How do I send a message to another member?
Log in and find the person's profile in the membership area.  Then click on ‘send a message’.  When you send them a message, they get an email with your message in it and instructions on how to reply.  Your email address is never revealed to them so it is completely confidential.  Likewise, you can't see their email address.

How do I receive a message?
If someone sends you a message, you will receive an email to let you know.  You can also click on "Messages Inbox" in the membership area (if you are logged in) to have a look at all the messages you have sent and received.  Your email address is never revealed to the person sending you a message.

How much does it cost to join CFF?

At the moment it is completely free to join, view details of other singles and send and receive messages.

Who runs CFF?

CFF is run by Norma Laing who is a committed Christian and is a member of a Baptist church in Nelson.  Norma has a passion for ministry to Christian Singles.

When is the next CFF camp?
There have been many CFF camps over the years.  Some have been real highlights of CFF.  At present there are no plans to run a camp for all members but occasionally the CFF social groups have weekends away and may invite members from other regions to attend depending on the size of the accommodation.

How long has CFF been running for?
CFF started in the UK where many social activities and holiday tours offer Christian friendship for single Christians.  A couple who met through CFF(UK) started CFF in New Zealand in 1983.  We joined CFF after finding it difficult to meet other Christian singles in our churches.  Norma and David have been co-ordinating CFF(NZ) since 1989.

Will other people see my personal information?
Your personal information (such as your real name, email or street address) will never be revealed to other members by us.  The only way another member can get your information is if you give it to them when you send them a message.  What most members do when they contact another member is to send a few messages back and forth via our site.  If they feel comfortable with that person one of them sends their email address via a message.  It is completely up to you if you choose to do this.

What if someone starts harassing me?

Your personal information (including your name) is never revealed to any member until you choose to reveal it.  If someone is sending you inappropriate messages, please email us immediately and we will investigate. For more information, see the rules and principles (terms and conditions).

How do I add a photo to my profile?

If you are a member, you can upload an image in the members' page.
Click on 'my gallery' and then click on 'add new photo'.
Browse and find your photo file.
'Open' and you have finished!

“We have met each other recently and have decided to pursue a friendship......there is a real need for friendship for the ‘older’ single group of adults - both for companionship and the opportunity to meet new people possibly for a future partner.
